Spirit and Truth Fellowship
1. As followers of the Messiah, we are called to share the truth of the Word and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Loving our neighbors means following His example by boldly sharing the truth while showing compassion and grace to everyone, including our enemies (Matthew 5:44). We should consider others more important than ourselves (Philippians 2:3), serve our community, and be a blessing by sharing our resources, time, and prayers. How we treat others, especially the least among us, reflects how we treat Messiah. If we love Him, we should care for His people (Matthew 25:40, John 21:17).
2. We believe that everyone has an inheritance in God’s family through faith in Yeshua (John 1:12-13 and John 3:16). Jewish people, who believe in Yeshua, remain true to their heritage and are recognized as true sons and daughters of Israel (Romans 2:28-29, Romans 11). Additionally, Israel and all nations will be restored through faith in Yeshua (Genesis 22:15-18, Isaiah 56:6-7, Ezekiel 37:15-28, John 10:11-16).
3. We believe in following the entire Word of God, including the Torah commandments and the teachings of Messiah Yeshua, who did not come to abolish the Torah but declared it will remain in effect until heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 5:17-19). This means keeping the seventh-day Sabbath holy (Hebrews 4:9), avoiding unclean foods (Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14), and observing His feasts and holy days as annual memorials and prophetic rehearsals (Leviticus 23 and Colossians 2:16-17). Obedience to the Word is not a means of salvation but shows our faith and love for God (James 2:14-26, 1 John 2:3-6, 1 John 5:3).
4. We believe in baptizing (mikvah) believers in water, as commanded by the Scriptures. This act symbolizes being saved and born again, representing the death, burial, and resurrection into a new life (Romans 6:3-7; Matthew 3:16; 28:18-20). While baptism is not required for salvation, it is an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Messiah Yeshua (Acts 2:38, 8:35-38, 10:47-48).
5. We believe in the resurrection of everyone: the saved will have everlasting life, while the unrepentant will face judgment and separation from God in the Lake of Fire (Daniel 12:2, Matthew 25:46, John 3:16-18, Revelation 20).
6. We believe that the only way to be cleansed from sin and receive salvation is by grace through faith in the blood of Messiah Yeshua. This happens through the Holy Spirit’s work of renewing and regenerating us (Leviticus 17:11, Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:27-28).
7. We believe that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), and that the penalty for sin is death (Romans 6:23). Yeshua died to pay this penalty (Romans 5:8), and those who repent and confess Yeshua as the Messiah will be saved (Romans 10:9-10, 1:16).
8. We believe in the deity and current role of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh). Through the Holy Spirit’s presence, believers are empowered to live righteously (Ezekiel 36:26-27, Joel 2:27-29, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, Galatians 4:6).
9. We believe that Messiah Yeshua lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and died on the cross to atone for our sins. He rose from the dead and appeared in Jerusalem (Luke 24:39-40), then ascended into heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). We also believe He will return for all believers, both living and dead, and will establish His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven (Luke 10:8-11 and Acts 2:23-33).
10. We believe in the deity of Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) as the promised “Seed of a Woman” from Genesis 3:15. We recognize His miraculous birth as a sign of His Messiahship, as prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6, and confirmed in John 1:1-14 and Philippians 2:5-11.
11. We believe in one Creator God (Elohim), as stated in the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4 and Mark 12:29-31). God exists eternally as a unity (echad) of The Father (YHWH/Yah), The Son (YHWH/Yeshua), and The Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh), as shown in Proverbs 30:4, Isaiah 44:6-8, Isaiah 48:16-17, and Luke 3:22.
12. We believe that the Bible, including the Hebrew Scriptures (Tanach) and the New Covenant (Brit Chadashah), is the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is the foundation of our faith and practice, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:15-17 and 2 Peter 1:20-21.
