Living with Integrity – (Day 34)

“The integrity of the upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.” – Proverbs 11:3 (NKJV)

Living with integrity is a crucial aspect of Teshuvah. Proverbs 11:3 underscores the importance of integrity, which guides us and aligns our actions with God’s righteousness. Integrity involves being honest, ethical, and consistent in our actions, reflecting our commitment to living according to God’s standards.

In Hebrew, the concept of integrity is often conveyed through the term “תֹּם” (tom), which means completeness, wholeness and sincerity. It implies an undivided state of being, where one’s actions, words, and values align consistently. Aligning one’s life with God’s divine standards and a commitment to living a life pleasing to the Lord.

Consider how integrity plays out in your daily life. Are you honest in your interactions with others? Do you maintain consistency between your beliefs and actions? Integrity is not just about avoiding dishonesty; it’s about living in a way that is in alignment with God’s Word.

Integrity also means standing firm in your convictions, even when it’s challenging. It requires making choices that reflect your values and maintaining a clear conscience before God and others. This can involve difficult decisions, such as addressing areas where you may have fallen short or where you need to make amends.

As you seek to live with integrity, ask God to reveal any areas where you may need to make changes. Reflect on how you can align your actions with your faith and make decisions that honor Him. Living with integrity not only honors God but also builds trust and respect in your relationships with others.

Remember that integrity is a reflection of your relationship with God. As you commit to living with integrity, you demonstrate your commitment to His truth and His ways, making a positive impact in your life and the lives of those around you.

Prayer:

Lord, I ask for Your help in living with integrity in every aspect of my life. Guide me to make choices that reflect Your truth and align with Your standards. Help me to be honest, ethical, and consistent in my actions, and to address any areas where I may have fallen short. Strengthen my resolve to stand firm in my convictions and to live in a way that honors You. Thank You for Your guidance and for the example of integrity found in Your Word. Amen.
